JOHN P. REINER, senior partner, is a member of the bar of the State of New York. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, he has been a resident of Manhattan from the age of three, competing his education at Columbia College and Columbia Law School. He also holds a masters degree in business administration from New York University and is a Certified Public Accountant. The firm of Reiner, Reiner & Reiner, LLP continues the unbroken line of private practice begun in 1945 by his father, Paul Reiner. William Reiner, the first name on the partnership masthead, is John's uncle and is now retired. John is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants section on taxation.

John lives with his wife Elaine ("Penny") on the upper west side of Manhattan. An avid promoter of ethics education for youth, John serves, pro-bono, on the board of directors of a charitable foundation dedicated in part to this end, and serves, pro-bono, as advisor to a second foundation. John and Elaine have two sons, Edward, the junior partner of the firm, and Nicholas, his younger brother, an actor and writer.

EDWARD J. REINER, partner, is also a member of the bar of the State of New York. A life-long resident of Manhattan, he also received his B.A. from Columbia College, then received his Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law. Since long before his admission to the bar in 1989, Edward ("Ted") has honed his skills in tax, real estate, and trust and estate work. Recently a keynote speaker at a seminar for attorneys and accountants specializing in the area of trusts and estates, Ted has also been appointed to serve the judges of the New York court which gives effect to wills (Surrogate's Court) as a guardian-ad-litem in numerous cases to protect the rights of children or persons under disabilities. He has been retained by other attorneys in New York to counsel them in the use of computer programs to assist their clients more effectively. Ted is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Ted also lives on the upper west side with his wife, Jeanmarie, an attorney for the United States Department of the Treasury. He is an avid cook and opera fan.
